Introduction... The Nookie brand was born in 1991 in
the United Kingdom. Two kidz who didn't know any better, making hardcore technical clothing & equipment for
whitewater kayakers. Still a small company, but staffed by a disparate group of extreme sports fanatics with decades
of collective experience of worldwide traveling, competing & surviving, Nookie continues to make many types of water sports
gear, thermal & fleece clothing, personal protective equipment and a wide range of rescue products for the emergency services,
as well as a diverse & growing collection of street, surf, and skate wear including tee shirts, sweats, hoodies, board
shorts & jackets. They focus on a range of extreme water sports apparel & equipment.
Whether it is ripping up the Pacific surf in Tahiti, base jumping in South America, playing the White Nile in Uganda or dropping
a Class V waterfall in Norway, they have the equipment you are going to need and desire. Stay committed
to the fun & we will see you out in the asylum (not that we are claiming where we are is an oasis of sanity, but everything
is relative...)

Fabric Information... SomaTX3- A 3-ply laminated nylon Taslan fabric with a superior drape and handle that belies it extraordinary
durability and water resistance. Xtetra4- A multi-ply laminated
nylon rip-stop with integral wear-bar pattern delivering enhanced performance in trans-surface and immersion use. Ti-Glide- Titanium coatings offer enhanced thermal properties. Nookie have taken this
several leaps further with their Ti-gliding coating, which is low friction for ease of use and enhanced macro-mobility.
The coating has even better thermal properties than standard titanium and is eay to put on and off, hard wearing and attractive.
Nookie Ti-glide is also tape seamable which enables its use instead of latex as seals for dry-shell type garments. Ti-glide
garments and components can also limit muscle vibration which is a major source of fatigue. Aramid Kevlar- Incredibly abrasion and tear resistant and almost never suffers a catastrophic
failure- meaning that it is the best possible reinforcing material where tearing and abrasion are the main forms of risk.
it is not stretchy or puncture resistant however, which in their view makes it unsuitable for neoprene spraydecks or the soles
of shoes! Cordura- A special kind of hi-tensile nylon.
It has 2-7x abrasion resistance of ordinary nylon, polyester & cotton and is usually used for reinforcing patches on motorcycle
garments. Amara- A type of soft, stretchy synthetic suede
which provides excellent grip & tactility whether wet or dry. Bamboo
Charcoal Fleece- Environmentally friendly functional yarn. It reduces heat loss more effectively than othe fleeces
keeping you nice and toasty. Zelcon- Is a finish for fabrics
that is naturally absorbent to keep fabrics dry, comfortable & anti-static.
Taking care of your NOOKIE... Your
new NOOKIe product is extremely effective and durable when used as intended. Read the following and you will avoid 99%
of the causes of premature kit death. UV is very bad, usin
products in the sun is one thing, leaving it in the sun is quite another. Keep in the shade when not in use and never
expose the lining material or latex seals to direct sunlight. Sea
and Salt- If salt water dries on the garment, it leaves super abrasive crystals which will destroy your products
from the inside you use it. Bugs- Your perspiration
contains bacteria. So does dirty water, these will multiply and eat your equipment if allowed to thrive. Always
rinse throughly in clean fresh water after every use. Heat-
No matter what the heat source, if you let your product get hotter than 100 degrees F, it will never be the same again.
Machine washing and sun drying are all big no-no's. They like to make gear that lasts, so we
don't clutter the world up with rubbish. You can help by looking after it and finding alternative uses for the products
after that have finally reached the end of their lifetime. If you have any questions, please
contact NOOKIE for help. Nookie,
