Whitewater kayaks are available for demo through WakaWai. Demo use of kayaks is on a first-come-first-served basis
and reservations are accepted. Reservations are accepted only through the online checkout under
Demo category. (
Please check on availability before going to the online checkout to reserve
you boat. This will save us and you a lot of time and disappointment.) Demos
are
taken to the
Ocoee River by WakaWai where they will be used and returned in the same
day.
The demo fee is $25 a day and the latest time to sign up for a demo is 3:30 pm on Friday
afternoon. Want to demo the boat for more than one day? We can do that as well. Contact us through the email
link below and will be glad to accommodate you and your schedule.
We
have limited the demos to the Ocoee, due to
travel times, proximity to paddlers, water levels, fuel cost and liability. We feel that thes rivers have all the characteristics
needed in order to get a good feel for the boats.
This is NOT
a rental program. This demo program is for paddlers experienced in whitewater.
Persons wishing to demo kayaks must have ALL other necessary equipment. Signature
on a demo agreement is required, as is identification and a valid credit card. The credit card information is taken
in case of the unfortunate event of damage, loss or theft. Nothing is charged on the card when the info is taken.
That same information will be given back to you after the demo is returned safely.
